COVID-19, IFALPA: Safety Aspects, ma mancano prescrizioni

Quanti passeggeri potranno essere imbarcati? Da circa 180 a 20 per un velivolo corto-medio raggio?

Dopo l'informativa congiunta tra IATA ed ACI Europe, rispettivamente in rappresentanza della International Air Trasport Association e di Airports Council International, anche IFALPA (International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations) in rappresentanza dei piloti delle aerolinee civili commerciali, hanno richiesto, alla FAA, alla Commissione Europea da un lato e agli Stati Europei interessati ad emanare urgenti Linee Guida specifiche per assicurare operazioni di volo in sicurezza. Per passeggeri e personale di volo.

Alcune indiscrezioni hanno, infatti, anticipato come, al fine di ottimizzare lo spaziamento a bordo dei passeggeri per fronteggiare il COVID-19, l'indice di riempimento potrebbe essere ridotto di oltre il 70/80%.

Gli organismi internazionali e sovranazionali come ICAO, EASA e FAA, massime autorità nelle tematiche di safety e security, non si sono, tuttavia, ancora espressi.

“In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many among us are still operating fights, be it as a skeleton service, rescue or cargo missions.

Since so many authorities have published guidance to limit spreading of the virus – covering diferent areas in more detail – and some incorrect information is also out there, it may be diffcult for fight crews to fnd relevant information for their specifc task.

This leafet is an attempt to address this issue by collecting ofcial guidance regarding the coronavirus in a single paper. Referenced text is reproduced as-is.

The hyperlinked references (e.g. [EASA]) provide easy access to check the source and check for possible updates.

We hope this paper helps to protect you, your family, friends and colleagues. Only be reducing the spreading of the virus can we “fatten the curve”, reduce the risks of working in the critical service we provide, and ensure adequate medical attention for all in need.
